Fighting cybercrime effectively demands a shift in our approach as prosecutors. Investigation and prosecution remain necessary, but a much more extensive impact is possible if combined with disruptive measures regarding the used infrastructure, victim notification and perpetrator prevention. To achieve this, closer cooperation with both the private sector as well as international counterparts is key.
 
Operation Endgame focused on one of the essential steps for all forms of cybercrime, the initial access. The international operation not only took down the technical infrastructures of, among others, Smokeloader, IcedID and SystemBC, but also approached the problem with a much broader approach of the whole cyber ecosystem. The operation was focused on multiple angles and looked closer into the relevant actors, infrastructure, finances, listings and custom-made communications. This webinar will explore the case, best practices, and lessons learned. For more information visit the website www.operation-endgame.com.
