what we do
Within the framework of the IAP, and coordinated by IAP members who are current or former prosecutors from the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia/Mechanism for International Criminal Tribunals, PSV aims to improve accountability by:

Generating a focused dialogue among prosecutors across the world working on – or interested in – conflict-related sexual violence cases;
-
Encouraging increased commitment to accountability for conflict-related sexual violence crimes among prosecutors;
-
Collecting and developing resources to facilitate the work of prosecutors on conflict-related sexual violence cases;
-
Facilitating peer-to-peer problem-solving and the development of progressive approaches to sexual violence prosecutions;
-
Providing a forum for capturing information and expertise on prosecuting sexual violence from practitioners with experience at national and international criminal courts and tribunals; and
-
Assisting in training the next generation of prosecutors for conflict-related sexual violence cases.
